COLIs are Corporate-Owned Life Insurance contracts owned by Corporations, Banks or Unions on Top Executives and other Key Clients and Associates. Often COLIs have negotiated agreements used as a form of Executive Benefit or Deferred Compensation to be transferred to Insured at some future date, e.g. 10 years, building Ownership Equity, Executive Retention and Income & Revenue Stability.
Banks are biggest owners of COLI policies because Cash Value is considered a Tier 1 Asset
COLIs are used by business providing leverage allowing for lower-cost Debt Financing & Higher Business Valuations.
